Zarge — the Kurdish word for a piece of writing — is a literary journal for serious work in Kurdish Sorani. There are no loud colors here and no hurry; only essays, words, and the time that reading deserves.

What we publish:

• Kurdish Sorani essays and general writing about language,
• linguistic notes, research, and findings on the Kurdish language,
• cultural criticism and commentary,
• memoir and literary reflections,
• interviews with writers, translators and researchers.

To write in one's mother tongue is a return home — and this house keeps its door open.
